This week my father had surgery. Heart bypass surgery to be exact. It was expected but that didn't make it any less complicated.
Being around my dad all week has been a joy despite the challenging state he's in. Thankfully he's recovering well. I've had some time for reflection walking in and out of the hospital and here's what I've concluded...
